WHAT IS DNA PATERNITY TESTING?
With the exception of identical twins, every person has a unique genetic code identified
by DNA (deoxyribonucleic Acid) found in each cell in the body.  Based on the fact that
we inherit half of our DNA from our father and half from our mother, DNA samples are
tested to disprove or prove the relationship between a child and an alleged father. The
child's genetic profile is then compared to the profiles of the mother and alleged father.
A statistical analysis is performed to calculate the probability of paternity.

How accurate are the results?
When done properly, DNA testing is 100% accurate. The laboratory uses "Dual
Process™ " which ensures  error-free results by proper handling, testing, and analysis
of samples.

How are DNA samples collected?
DNA samples are obtained easily from the inside of the mouth with a buccal swab. The
swab sample will provide the DNA necessary to perform the test to the same level of
guaranteed accuracy.

Are Buccal swabs as accurate as blood samples?
Yes.
Buccal swab samples and blood samples contain the same DNA and will
produce the same test result. Buccal swab testing is  a painless procedure producing
accurate results. The collector will rub the inside of your cheek to gather loose cheek
cells with the Buccal swab.

Can the test results be used in court?
Yes.
“Legal” (court admissible)  paternity testing follows the rules and regulations to
make those results admissible in all 50 states.

Can testing be performed without the mother?
We can perform a motherless test without any additional charge if the mother’s
participation is not possible. More analysis is necessary, but produces the same
accurate results. DNA Mobile encourages mothers to participate for the following
reasons
:

  • All testing participants will receive a copy of test results
  • The mother's participation is required in some courts

Which areas of Georgia do you cover?
We cover all of Metro Atlanta and surrounding counties within a 50 miles radius. For all
other counties and states, including New Jersey, call us to make arrangements.

What do I need to bring to the appointment?

or children, a social security card, birth certificate or crib sheet is acceptable.

How is payment accepted?
Payment is accepted via money order or cashier's check made out to DNA Mobile.
