| DNA Paternity Testing determines whether a man could be the biological father of a child. We all inherit our DNA from our biological parents. A DNA paternity test compares a child’s DNA pattern with that of the alleged father to check for evidence of this inheritance—the most definitive proof of a biological relationship. The result of a DNA paternity test is either an exclusion (meaning the alleged father is not the biological father), or an inclusion (meaning the alleged father is considered the biological father). For a standard paternity test, DNA Mobile's affiliate labs guarantee at least 99.99% probability of paternity for inclusions or 100% certainty of exclusion( 0% probability). Our paternity test uses the Chain of Custody to ensure that you receive accurate and legally defensible results. For all of our DNA testing services, our affiliate labs:
Tested Participants In a standard DNA paternity test, the tested parties include a child, the alleged father, and the mother (called a trio). The cost for this DNA test is $400. The mother’s participation in the paternity test helps to exclude half of the child’s DNA, leaving the other half for comparison with the alleged father’s DNA. However, we can perform a paternity test without the mother’s participation (called a motherless test), which involves additional analysis, without any additional charge. Whether or not the mother participates in the test, the results are equally conclusive . Motherless tests are guaranteed to have at least a 99.9% probability of paternity for inclusions and 0% probability for exclusion. If needed, we also can test additional children or alleged fathers for an additional DNA testing and analysis fee of $120 for each additional tested person. Sample Collection The buccal (cheek) swab to collect samples is routinely used to collect DNA cells . Our use of one of the largest network of collection sites in the U.S., allows our customers to choose a sample collection appointment most convenient for them. Our lab affiliates have relationships with other laboratories worldwide for international sample collections. A sample collection fee of $15-50 is charged for each person tested in a case. ( Please Note : There are no collection fees in metro Atlanta or surrounding counties) This fee includes sample collection, appointment coordination, and shipping. (Please Note: Due to additional procedures required by the New York State Department of Health, collection fees for appointments made in New York vary.) Chain of Custody Process Samples are collected using a Chain of Custody documentation process that ensures your results will be accepted by courts and other government agencies. Prenatal DNA Paternity Testing Often we have customers who would like to know the paternal relationship before the child is born. We’re able to test prenatal samples in such situations. This option requires special procedures performed by an OB-GYN. Grandparent DNA Testing This test is an indirect way to determine whether a couple could be the biological grandparents of a child. When an alleged father is not available for a paternity test Siblingship DNA Testing This test is an indirect way to determine if two children share one or both parents (whether, they are half or full siblings). When an alleged father is not available for a paternity test DNA Y-STR Testing When the alleged father is not available for testing, the Y-STR paternal lineage test is used to determine whether two or more males are related through their fathers ( the paternal or male line).
